Meet JARO
Jorge Alberto Rocha Osuna (JARO) was born to parents, Jorge Sr. and Christina Osuna, on July 10, 1987 in National City, CA. Jorge attended K-12 in National City, graduating from Sweetwater High School in 2005.
Jorge loved sports and competition, which led to him playing youth sports in National City his entire childhood. Even during off-seasons, he was a staple at the Camacho Recreation Center Basketball Gym for hours of pick-up games. His love of sports continued through high school, where he played Varsity Football during the 2004-2005 seasons, and Varsity Golf in 2005.
Jorge enjoyed playing and coaching so much, he stayed involved in youth sports through his high school years into adulthood. Jorge would find ways to help coach teams his younger brother Joseph played on. During his senior year in high school, Jorge volunteered to head coach a youth football team because they would forfeit their season without a coach. Jorge was that kind of guy.

Jorge had a sense of duty and passion for serving his community. Soon after graduating from Sweetwater High, Jorge became a member of the United States Army Reserves and United States Border Patrol. He credited his sense of duty, teamwork, and leadership skills to his youth sports experiences while growing up.

Jorge tragically passed away on June 18, 2014 at the age of 26. His sudden and tragic passing made us all reflect on what is important in life and how we should live it.
